Real Ear Measurement: checking sound in your ear
A thin probe-microphone tube sits in your ear canal beside the hearing aid. We measure sound near your eardrum at soft, average and loud levels, compare it with targets calculated from your own hearing test, and fine-tune the fitting.
Two people with the same hearing test results, hearing aids and software settings can receive different sound in their ear canals. Software defaults use average ear-canal values; Real Ear Measurement checks what reaches your individual ear. It verifies the fitting and cannot promise perfect hearing. Hearing aids do not remove all background noise.
Device checked before every fitting
Electroacoustic Analysis is a separate test-box check of the hearing aid's output, amplification and distortion against the manufacturer's specifications before every fitting. It checks device performance and does not replace Real Ear Measurement.
Follow-up care
Visits over the first few weeks help fine-tune your fit. A professional deep cleaning every six months is recommended for hearing aid users.
